Elephants eyes are only slightly larger than a humans despite outweighing us 100 times over. These tiny windows are however just as captivating when one gets a chance to look into them. With some of the most complex emotions, bonds and social networks in the animal kingdom, it almost feels unfair not to have bigger windows into their souls. For me, their eyes remind us that at the heart of these colossuses, lies a sentient being. We are typically first struck by their sheer size, strength and overwhelming presence, well before noticing their gentler features. Sometimes in a picture, less tells us a whole lot more and just what we should know.
